There is still quite significant potential for thunderstorms, also severe, in northern Germany, where there weren't any thunderstorms yesterday. In some places, the temperatures did not drop under 20°C at night and are expected to reach nearly 30°C today. At the same time, the air is quite humid with predicted dewpoints around 20°C in most of the region. CAPE values may locally exceed 1500 J/kg.

The main risk in the thunderstorms will probably remain flash flooding, which caused significant damage in some German cities yesterday already (see MILK Weather on Facebook for more). Again, there may also be hail with a diameter of up to 3cm. The risk of severe storm gusts is higher today than it was yesterday, and storm gusts up to 80km/h are possible.
